Foundations of Faith

Foundations of Faith

Are you a lover of truth interested in growing in your understanding of Scripture?

“Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation…” Hebrews 6:1

The book of Hebrews starts off talking to believers about the peril of not progressing and growing in their faith. Far too many professing Christians are stuck in perpetual infancy, still immature in their understanding and “unskilful in the word of righteousness” (Heb.5:13).

We are commanded to love God with all our heart, soul, MIND, and strength. Loving God with all our mind requires that we allow Him to renew our mind in His word and put forth the effort necessary to grow. We will be held accountable for not only what we believe but why we believe it!

I’ve put together this course on Foundations of Faith to help those who are hungry for truth become established in the foundational doctrines of Christianity. It is imperative that every child of God develop their own spiritual discernment, learn to rightly divide Scripture, and become disciplined Bereans with solid and sound theology.

The course will consist of a 5-unit workbook and access to approximately 60 – 1 hour videos covering the content of each unit lesson, a study calendar and planner, online quizzes for each lesson and unit, and a course final exam.

A course syllabus will be available soon, with an outline of each unit and lessons topics.

Essentials of Biblical Leadership

Biblical Leadership

“Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.” ~Psalm 127:1

Just as the Old Covenant tabernacle and temple were to be built according to God’s pattern or blueprint, so is the New Testament Church to be built.  God was not careless about the details of His dwelling place. He chose the materials, dimensions, every decorative detail, the furnishings and their detailed design. He even chose the builders and named the artisans who He handpicked to craft for Him. We read chapter after chapter in Exodus of the Lord’s instruction to Moses concerning His tabernacle (see Exodus 25-40). We understand that each item was significant and richly meaningful, as the study of types and shadows so beautifully reveals. The great attention God gives to detail is remarkable.

Of course it is of no surprise that the Creator of the Universe is wise, loving, caring and perfect in everything He designs. It is evident that the laborers could not deviate from any detail and still expect God to inhabit the place!  Likewise, Solomon built the temple according to God’s instructions (1 Chronicles 28-29; 2 Chronicles 1-7).

God is the same yesterday, today and forever. He is no less interested in the details of His Holy Habitation in the New Covenant than He was in the Old. God has revealed His divine design, and as co-laborers and co-builders with Christ, we must build accordingly and follow the specifications of His Holy plan.

“According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it.”

~ 1 Corinthians 3:10
